is running the 116th Boston Marathon
 

 

April 16, 2012 – He’ll be running the Boston Marathon as a member of The Dana-Farber Marathon Team (DFMC). The DFMC runs for a very special cause: finding cures for cancer. 

Dana-Farber directs 100% of the funds it raises to the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber, which fosters scientific breakthroughs by advancing the work of gifted researchers in a variety of basic research disciplines. These funds enable scientists at the leading edge of discovery to achieve better cure rates and to enhance patients’ quality of life.
 
Let’s make certain he knows he has the support and encouragement of the ALC Community for his efforts to make a difference!

There will be 5 classes plus additional on-field training. Attendance at all 5 classes and all on-field training opportunities is mandatory. Classes will meet on January 4, 11, 18, 25 and February 1, 2012. Class will begin promptly at 6:00pm and end at 8:30pm. On field training dates to be announced. Tentative on field training opportunities will be held in late March and early April. All attendees must have membership with US Lacrosse as an official and bring their documentation from US Lacrosse to the first class (January 4th). Attendees who are also players should register with US Lacrosse as an official/player.  Class size is limited to the first 35 registrants.
